Recently worked with Unilever Pakistan Limited well brand of â Walls Ice cream â for fifteen years
( Nov1985 up to Feb 2001) as a J/ Manager â Refrigerated Transportâ
Responsibility of Duties
As a J/ Manager of refrigerated transport, in my duties to responsible to look after the â Auto Workshopâ & â Refrigeration Work shop â to stream line these workshops activates .Company
Arranged it a major work force engineer, supervisor, mechanics, helper As well as drivers and other staff for smooth operation of both workshops.
Auto Workshop and Refrigerated work shop Look after all transport to keep up to in good working condition. All fleet to relate to moved the ice cream in the market to make sure its movement with all respects in time & perfect working condition, without any delay. The work shop staff when received a delivery van after sale duties, they do it repair for it two ways first they do it maintain as a periodic maintained scheduled secondary rectifier the deriver complaints which he observed during the driving and he also noted his complaints at that time before handed over the delivery van to work shop staff as well as van in perfect condition.
Refrigerated work shop also sure the cooling temp in the box is as per ice cream temp, which is required to move the ice cream in the market. Refrigeration work shop also repair and maintained freezer as well as its movement in the market its good working condition at shops sale ice cream.
Additional Responsibility
To prepare and execute departmental budget for manpower, spares, consumables and fleet major overhauling & repairs, also sets both workshops performance standards and align organized.
Also an effective fleet maintenance program & did to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Also did and knowledge on all â Department of Transportation Laws and Regulationsâ and the Company fleet of vehicles are in compliance.
Follow-up on all vehicles service scheduling requirements with responsible departments.
Tracks performance of fleet i.e... Cost, repair, P/ M quality, also to control unscheduled breakdowns.
Also did coaches and schedules training to build the fleet team technical mastery.
Coaches and provides constant feedback for development and improved performance of the company fleet.
Utilize visual factory concepts to control and organized the work in the both workshops. Did all problems solve with the fleet team recurring problems.
Maintained an up-to-date list of all company vehicles & other equipments deepfreeze also.
Ensured safe operating conditions exist throughout the both workshops.
Promptly correct any unsafe conditions did also local resource regarding fleet vehicles selection criteria and specifications, cost of purchase vs. leases, fleet technical resources.
Also responsible for selection, reward and discipline recommendation for all fleet personnel.
Foreign Service Experience
Worked in Gulf State, THE SALTANANTE OF OMAN " MUSCAT " in a big oil pipeline construction & Maintenance company. GETCO PRESS INTERNATIONAL ( WILLUMS PRESS GROUP OF LONDON) which was a contractor of Petroleum Development Oman, performances duties as a â Workshop Supervisor.â
Being versed in my trade I was promoted as an â In-charge of Operation of Heavy Equipmentâ and worked there independently from June 1979 to Jan 1984.
In addition to above, I have also undergone to examine the latest models of every kind of vehicles in various firms.
